Who We Are

General Information…

DGOTC is a not-for-profit organization that was formed to promote the sport of dog obedience. We have been serving the National Capital Region from our two training sites for almost 30 years. We embrace several training philosophies and allow trainers the freedom to pursue the training methods that work best for their dogs. We offer obedience training classes at all levels beginning each January, April, July, and October. We also offer Agility classes in Loudoun County.

DGOTC meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month (except July and August), beginning at 8:00 PM, at the Sterling Park Annex.

DIRECTIONS to Sterling Park Annex: From Route 7, take route 28 south, turn left on Church Road and go left one block. The Annex (an old school building) is on the right. From Route 50, take Route 28 north, about one mile past Sterling Boulevard, turn right on Church Road. There is parking on the side and behind the building. The July meeting is a picnic, and there is no meeting in August.

The Dulles Scoop is our official newsletter. It is published monthly, except during the months of July and August, when the editors get a much-deserved rest. The newsletter is distributed free to all DGOTC members.

DGOTC is a United Kennel Club Obedience and Agility club and holds both agility and obedience trials several times a year.

A list of DGOTC’s current club officers and other committee chairs can be found on our Contact page.
